Hi there, I've tried finding an answer to this with the search with no luck, so just a quick question... I'm laying Timbermate Excel as an underlay for my engineered floor. Do I lay the underlay the same direction as the flooring or at 90 degrees? Or does it now make any difference...

I opted for Timbermate Excel, which has a DPM, but that's because I'm laying on concrete. I spent some time looking into this and believe the Timbermate product was the best option so I'm sure the non DPM product will be a good choice for you :)

Hi there :) Could someone please give a list of things to look for when buying a solid or engineered oak floor that would suggest the oak is non European? I suspect that general signs would be price, board width, board length and board thickness. Many thanks
