Fitting a Surrey Flange - 22mm Male Cylinder Tapping

I ended up going for an off expansion pipe in the end, and just drawing from half way up that. It was way less work for me and is still one of the recommendations within the manual. So far I've been running it for a few months with no issues.

Shower Alcove - Just a bit too big!

I'm trying to avoid the rearrangement... hence me theorising what the size will actually be. I currently have it back to the studs with no panels on the wall, what I don't want is to put everything on and then determine that it's the wrong size, I have more potential right now to change it...

Shower Alcove - Just a bit too big!

It seems 3cm is just going to be too big to fill in this way? Though I'm wondering about aluminium box section as an option?

Shower Alcove - Just a bit too big!

Hi guys, I'm currently extending an en-suite, and I've basically got a situation where the shower alcove opening is just a little too big for some of the shower doors I'm looking at. My opening from stud to stud is 1080mm, with the waterproof boards and tiles on I reckon this opening will be...

Marmox Boards, Wetroom Former - Which first?

Hi guys, Really quick question, I currently have a shower alcove with no tile backer boards on the wall at the moment. I'm going to put up Marmox tile backer board. But my question is, do I put the shower former in place first up to the studs and then butt the backer board up to the former on...

    Re-Routing pipes

Hi guys, I'm in the middle of doing an en-suite with a wet room, when installing the shower former I think I'm going to have some radiator pipework in the way of my waste: See the two pipes that go straight through at the back, these would need to be lowered to get the waste in place...

    Wet Room - Subfloor? Walls?

Hi guys, I've read around so much on this and there seems to be a lot of opinions on this, some pictures to start off with: IMG_20180717_210848252 by Synforge posted 17 Jul 2018 at 9:34 PMIMG_20180717_210916166 by Synforge posted 17 Jul 2018 at 9:34 PMIMG_20180717_210925680 by Synforge posted...

Shower Pump: Cold from above, hot from below?

Thanks for the advice, I ripped up a bunch of flooring to run it from below which also allows me to fit some downlighters. So win win, thanks for not giving me an easy way out...

Shower Pump: Cold from above, hot from below?

Even though the shower previously met the required flow rate? I'm assuming positive head pump would be fine If I ran the pipework under the floor instead of back up.

Shower Pump: Cold from above, hot from below?

Hi guys, I'm in the middle of replacing a shower and putting in a shower pump (Stuart Turner S3.0 Positive Head). Previously the cold feed to the shower was from the CWST and then was supplied from above, the hot was then supplied direct from the cylinder under the floor. The easiest option...

Fitting a Surrey Flange - 22mm Male Cylinder Tapping

Hi, I'm planning on fitting a shower pump to my system, it's an open vented hot water system and I'm planning on pumping two showers with thermostatic valves. For the pump I was going to get a Stuart Turner Monsoon Twin S3.0 (Positive Head) pumping hot and cold from the CWST. Reading the...
