    Cement in a Toilet Connector??

Hi, The Bell of the pipe sits on the floorboards, so just the 3 inch "collar" is visible. Just to make it clear, this pipe is a "branch" that runs under the floorboards about 2.5 feet to join the Main Vertical Cast Iron Soil pipe that runs floor to ceiling through the whole house. matt

    Immersion Heater/Hot Water Tank

Well Boys....... It seems that if you replace the immersion heater in a 38 year old tank, it can develop a leak. Not from around the immersion heater itself (thats all sealed up like a goodun) but from somehwere where the flange joins the tank itself. I guess from the stress of...

    Window Reveal/Cavity Wall

Hi All, I have been gutting my bathroom and stripped some OLD wall tiles. Needless to say, these pulled the plaster of the walls very nicely....... Around the window reveal, the top and base coat of plaster (maybe even cement render??) came off, right down to the brickwork. Lo and...

Hi Meldrews Mate, Yes, exactly. I want to run the NEW rad in Series (wished i could have remembered that word....explains things a lot better) BEFORE the Towel Rad. I was expecting the Towel Rad to be cooler (saves my backside getting blisters..LOL). In fact the two Emitters will be on...

Adding A radiator....Using the flow circuit only

Sorry Guys, Didn't explain myself. System was originally (30 years ago) a conventional boiler/tank. Boiler was replaced with a combi (combi is upstairs if it makes a difference...). The bathroom radiator used to run on the Hot water circuit years ago (hence the Pipe Runs), It was replaced...

Hi All, i have a Towel Rad in my bathroom. Flow comes down from the ceiling and the Return goes under the floor. I want to add a small radiator (tall and thin), for various reasons i would like to avoid lifting carpets/floorboards etc. If i were to feed this new rad "inline" with the towel...

    Siphons

Hi WonderBoy, Thanks for the Links, the Dudley link explains a lot. Softus, Thanks for confirming what i thought. The siphons i am talking about are advertised as "internal overflow" but look just like a "normal" one. A "normal" siphon looks like it would trap air at the top and...
