    Conduit bends?

I’m struggling to understand the on-site guide table for Conduit factors for runs incorporating bends and long straight runs. (Table E4 amendment 3 on-site guide) - I’m out of date and need to do my 18th I know, but it isn’t something I use as a maintenance engineer. *This is just to get my head...

Damp patch in bottom corners of windows!

Hi again, thought the problem was fixed after I sealed some small gaps on the outside, but it's comeback with the recent rain. I've took a side trim off upstairs where it seems to be worse, and here are the pics..... I can feel cold air coming through so that's obviously not right. Also there...

Damp patch in bottom corners of windows!

Hi Gaz, thanks again for your reply it's helping me out a lot! The green shaded area is where the unit meets the sill? These should only be sealed at each end I take it? Can this be done with the unit in place? I also have these plastic trims on the inside, do they need to be removed to make...

Damp patch in bottom corners of windows!

I will check the seals properly at the weekend. The only trim that was there, is still there. He's just skimmed up to it. What do you mean about sealing the cills? There is an upstairs bay that's rendered, the rest brickwork. Happening in them all though. Thanks!

Damp patch in bottom corners of windows!

    Cleaning off Polished porcelain?!

Hi Guys, Ive just had my kitchen floor tiles in 2ft square polished porcelain tiles. They are from B&Q and are a Grey/Anthracite colour. The tilers has finished and there's still grout spots left over. There's also a 'Haze' look when you look at reflections in them. I've bought some residue...

Levelling half asphalt half concrete kitchen

Hi, Just had an extension built on the rear of our house, creating a 25sqM room. Half is new concrete floor, the other is an existing black asphalt floor. The builder has levelled the concrete roughly to the asphalt but to lay the large 600 x 600 porcelain tiles we've chosen, the tiler has told...

    Empty house, cable install.

Hi, Currently in the middle of renovating our house, it's practically back to bare brick and want to install some TV cabling before we plaster. (The house only has one cable entering the rear) I want to move the incoming cable to the front of the house, then run one to three other rooms. I...

    Mdpe/copper pipe reducing

hi guys, Just run a new 25mm MDPE water supply to my house and it's currently waiting to be connected by United utilities. I've got a plumber to connect it to the rest of my system, but I need to get a stop cock and drain (cock?) I've had a look online and can find a suitable MDPE to copper...
