    Help identifying toilet flush make

Would that be a straight swap or would I need to replace the full flush unit?

    Help identifying toilet flush make

I seem to have a broken push button on my toilet. Ideally I just want to replace the push button itself, rather than having to remove the cistern (close coupled) with all that entails. Anyone have any idea of the manufacturer of this flush (or suggestions on a generic replacement button). 2p...

    Programmer Help

I realise that I won't be able to have CH without HW on the current system, what I'm trying to accomplish is to get a HW channel and a HW/CH channel which should be doable. I just need to work out the relay logic to make the following work NO1 NO2 - CH HW ..0......0........0....0...

    Programmer Help

I opted to fit a 2 channel programmer and wireless room stat to my antiquated heating system and have run into a bit of a snag. The central heating system is set up currently such that when the hot water is on the boiler fires up and heats the hot water tank. When the CH is switched on the...

    Thermostat retrofit

Hmm is there any advantage to keeping the BG controller? I was thinking of replacing it with something like this. Alternatively I might go for a wireless cylinder stat to go with a non-hw wireless room stat, tho that's going to involve some pipework I suspect to get another valve in.

    Thermostat retrofit

I currently have an old Glowworm Spacesaver 50 Mk2 which at some point has been fitted with a British Gas branded CH/HW controller. However there is no room thermostat in the house, there in an internal boiler stat. My plan is to replace the BG controller with a wireless receiver/relay and a...

    Low Rise Toilet, Leaky Inlet

It seems my toilet has been leaking for some time from the flush inlet on the back of the pan. Having replaced the rotten floor under the pan I'm now ready to reconnect the pan itself. I tracked the problem to the wrong washer being used on the inlet pipe (the builders had filled the gaps...

    Towel Radiator

Towel rails generally require that you buy a set of valves along with them, these can either be straight for floor based piping or can be elbows for the pipes that come out of the wall. Depending on the width of the previous rad it's likely that you're going to have to reroute the piping a...

Ignition Failure in Boiler From Hell (Response 80)

Hurrah, fixed it. I did a bit of research last night about the issue and had the RGI round this morning. I was having a gas/air mixture problem, it turned out that the burner was running too lean, the gas valve was functioning correctly but too much air was being added. Basically on...

Ignition Failure in Boiler From Hell (Response 80)

Yeah, he said he'd phone the technical helpline tomorrow. I'm leaning towards a replacement now, but have no idea how much I should be paying for it. It would be a like for like swap for a different combi, I asked the guy I had round how much he charges and he said £1500 using a Baxi Main 30HE...
