Will Easi-Fill (never used it yet) be good to use for this or better of with a fine polyfilla?
Maybe best not to do that; it's the hardest test of all & can make even the very best plaster work look like the moon surface! If you want to be a real perfectionist the once the mist coat has gone on look along the walls from an angle, preferably with a source of light at the other end of the wall to highlight trowel marks etc

So do ya think we don't!This is what i do but i'm a plasterer and i used to be a making good hand on site (not alot of making good needs to be done on my walls (normally...HAha))
Just a quick question why do you do a mist coat first before using Easi-Fill?
Is it just that it helps so spot any imperfections better or something else?
