Kitchen cupboards either side of a cooker

Hi all,

I am installing a new kitchen, what is the distance from either side of the cooker line that an upper cupboard can be installed?

50mm from either side
min 760 directly above

unless manufacturers instructions specify different.

Thanks very much, it is electric but by clearance is more than 50mm

just installed base units less than 30mm either side of my 1000mm gas cooker!

Will i go to hell?

(probably.....if it catches fire)

if the wall units are more than 450mm from the worktop they can be in line with the sides of the cooker, unluess it is a high level grill in which case you need 150mm either side of the grill if the unit is lower than the grill
