HI, just used some ready mixed reapair plaster to fix a few things..however after 24hours its still soft.

Its clung to the walls but it can still be dented and mouled...

have i dont something wrong, is it a bad batch or does it just need longer to set and dry... be great to get an answer..

Leave it until its hardened  having never used this kind of thing i cant really say for sure ,what does it say on the packaging? how deep were the repairs ? how cold is the room ,how damp is it ?all these things will add to drying time

its not putty.

it does not give any indication of drying time ... just says .. drying is dependant on evaporation?????

It's a premixed tub. It doesn't go off via chemical reaction like the dry stuff.
If it's the stuff I think it is (slight purplish tint) then it'll never really go off at all.

" It WONT go hard at all",,, as Joe said. It's not really a filler/plaster. To be honest, i would rather use a lump of wet clay to fill a hole, than use that stuff.

If it was me, i'd scrape it off, and use a powdered filler, eg, "tetrion", "polyfilla", etc. It depends what you're patching. Those products i've mentioned are ok for smaller, minor jobs around the house, but for larger/deeper holes etc, then proper plaster would be the best thing to use.
