Hi,

I am think of buying a terrace which has been cleaned so that the bricks on the front are now their original colour (sandy).

Does anyone know if you can successfully apply coal dust (or something else) to the bricks to make them look grey again? I don't want to make a mess of the house...

Thanks for your help

Thanks Zampa, will do.

To be honest I wasn't sure where to post my message in the first place...

Just leave them - dust and pollution will darken them for you.

Dirtying them again will probably result in a drop in resale value of your home.

You can ask Brickaid they do exactly that for new builds when brick mismatching happens. Not sure why you want them grey if they were sandy when new????
