Hi
just moved into a house and have a British gas emp 2 programmer

as soon as you turn it on the hot water comes on even when set to off , and the hot water doesnt work no light nothing any help ??

Without giving more info on your system and its other controls, don't expect too much response.

What do you need to know? es 1 thermo all controls a baxi boiler, no thero stat , just a trv and tank sensor

As soon as you turn what on? CH?
It will possibly be a gravity system and the programmer has not been set to 10 program.
You cannot get CH on it's own (normally) with a gravity system.

EMP2 is an antiquated clock on a likely antiquated system. Tamz description will be spot on.

As soon as you put the power on ie from isolator switch hot water is always on and no heating no matter what the settings
if it old may time to replace it then
So what fits I'm fairly competent but plug and play is nicer lol
