Bike spanner

As above, looks like a vintage bike spanner, something like ones used by Benelux.
What are the dimensions of it?

bike spanners are usually stamped out of steel plate, but your looks like it might be cast iron. Is it?

I thought it looked heavy for a bike spanner. Older ones are thicker, but the ones I've seen aren't that thick.
Part of an old motorbike tool kit? Or supplied with something like a mower?

In ye olden days tools were begotten for thingymijigs this was one such tool, Methinks ye will never know what thingymijig this was verily made for.

it looketh much like a knights bodkin.

Seamstresses use a bodkin not knights.
They use a lance.

I suppose being about 400 years old does have its effects on your memory.

Its fairly modern as its cut with cnc. Either plasma or laser but I'd go with plasma. And is probably mild steel.

Thanks for the responses, guys. Not sure as to whether it is steel plate but it weighs around 7oz (200g) so I guess it could be cast iron.

The dimensions are:

Length:150mm
Hex ring spanner: 24mm
Open end width (wide): 20mm
Open end width (narrow): 10mm

measure it in 1/16ths of an inch.

OK. As near as I can measure - forgive the inelegance of fractions:-

Length: 57/8
Hex ring spanner: 15/16
Open end width (wide): 13/16
Open end width (narrow): 3/8

15/16 AF (across flats), 13/16 AF and 3/8 AF are all commonly used sizes.
