Bosch Dishwasher - Intermittent Leak

Thanks zipper.

I guess the float’s ok then, it may have been a little sticky or just got overwhelmed.

Ok, I have the l/h side panel off and have located the flowmeter. Should be able to replace that ok.

Just a couple of final (hopefully) questions:

There looks like a build up of gunge in the top right hand corner of that large clear(ish) plastic matrix thingy (“water inlet” Bosch spare no.: 434477) - the right angled bit has some sort of brown debris in there. It’s a job to tell whether it is creating any sort of blockage.

Could this be causing or contributing to the problem? If it is, is there anyway of clearing this stuff out relatively simply or is it a replacement job? If it needs replacing how easy is it to do that with all of those strange connectors at the bottom, are special tools needed?

A blocked pressure chamber, matrix, or transfer hose can result in problems with draining or internal leakage...but it is not usually associated with overfilling. If you want to know more about this subject use the search function & type in "matrix" and/or "transfer hose". You will find plenty of information on this particular problem...it is a very common issue on BSH dishwashers.

Thank you zipper.

I've decided to clean the gunge out the matrix as well as replace the flowmeter. I've searched for "matrix" and/or "transfer hose" as you suggested but can’t find anything that tells me how to remove the matrix for cleaning on my model SGS43T52. I’ve undone the hose from the flowmeter but the problem stopping me lifting the matrix up and away appears to be the cover (p/n 420585) that goes through from the inside of the machine into the matrix on the outside. Does that cover screw out or do I just prise it out? It just doesn’t seem to want to budge and I don’t want to damage it.

Have a read through these (some contain photos) //search.diynot.com/forum_sear...tbytime=0&author=&search=Search+Forum&stype=0 To release the air vent on the inside use a pair of long nosed pliers or similar & turn it anticlockwise (taking great care not to break the plastic struts). To use the search function type in the exact target word/words & select the appliances section before you hit search.
