Hi,
I have found a leak from some kind of valve just above my Potterton boiler. Photos attached.

Can anyone tell me what it is?
I know how to drain my system so can I just buy a new one and replace the leaky one? Or does it indicate something wrong with the boiler?

Thanks
Alan

Its an auto air vent.

You don't have to use that design, you can use any!

You could use any but if you get the same make, Flamco, you can remove the barrel from the connection beneath without draining as there's a self-sealing cut-off in the connection piece. Get the new one, open it up to see what I mean before changing it.

Thanks for all the advice. I've now managed to replace the valve with a new one.
