Recommend Me A Combi Please?

As a lot of people on here swear by them, myself included, I can't determine who you are referring to as the "Resident Chav", but I can confirm that they are indeed very good
So the shorter guarantee on the Rapid version should not be a problem then.

Lucky so and so. How did you wangle that?

Ask him when project x is arriving?

When are the Dutch going to give us dedicated installers a bit more credit?

Project X?? I don't know what you mean mate

Tho a Thai meal might refresh my memory lol

Their be big changes a comin' some best beware the ides of March ;)

It's all about the figures mate.

In the home country well over half a million boilers on the wall and 9 guys to look after all of them. - and they're not exactly busy!

Now the F8 issue has been sorted it's nice being semi retired

Please don't shout at me... I've only scanned the replies. I've had a bad day. Has anyone mentioned the importance filters, make sure the system is as clean as possible, dont forget to reinhibit after draining down to splash some emulsion on the walls behind the rads, or make sure it's serviced annually to comply with extended warrantee? AND MAKE SURE THAT the service interval record is filled in. Ooops... I'm shouting now.
Check this fella's stuff out if you want another recommendation.

Had a quote today for a Glowworm 25 with 5yr guarantee - is this a decent boiler?

I'm surprised he's not recommending the Heatline? Anyway, great videos & always worth viewing.

Most boilers are OK, even the cheapest. Your installer is really the problem, poor workmanship is a cause of most problems & I say that as an installer not a manufacturer.

Poorly trained installers, with no apprenticeship & limited knowledge are the problem.

It's OK - Glowworm are related to Vaillant in the same way that SEAT are related to Audi...some common parts, but everything is just a bit more plasticky and not quite so well built. Neither are as good as an Intergas

Million dollar question...

What would be a reasonable amount to expect to pay for swapping out my existing combi for a new one in the same place?

The GlowWorm 25 quote was around £1600. From what I can see that model is around £800 (inc VAT) - so I assume installation is going to be making up the other £800?
