Manufacturer Websites are full of generalisations. Solar cylinder can be used to improve reheat times. You don't need panels.

ok how do solar cyslinder work. the cyslinder will be in a garage.
ok what is the cost difference installing a solar cylinder? could you please advise extra/replacement kit i would need for a solar cylinder.
Too many variables.. Maybe £150 for the cylinder but your installer will need to decide what extra stuff is needed.

I can't see where you're reading that. Link? Unless your house is particularly a big or badly insulated it'll be fine. I'd ignore the spat suggestion unless you're intending to live in the house for another 20 years
If your budget can stretch, Worcester Bosch 21 or 24kw system boiler, with a Worcester Cylinder and Worcester Wave Smart Start. 10 years warranty on everything including thermostat, and cylinder controls.

I work directly for Intergas although I fitted them for nearly ten years beforehand. The 24SB will do almost any 5 bedroom house although we do larger models if needed.
I don't know whereabouts you are in West Mids but the UK head office is based at Kingswinford near Dudley. We're always happy for people to drop in and be shown what makes the boilers the best!
Can someone provide a link to the cylinder from joule we should buy? Can't find it online? Also do we buy direct or indirect?

All Joule High Gain and Tank in tank cylinders come complete with solar coil as standard (size 200 and over). Most plumbing merchants supply Joule, we use Plumb/ Pipe Center.
