my new handrail is too long, it comes in 3 pieces with 4 brackets and all the measurements to fit the brackets on the wall are around this length could i just cut a few inches off each and adjust the measurements all will it all go wrong ... help before i cut please
are all the rails the same length and how much do you need to remove ??
my thoughts are take it half off the center 2 parts then iff around the 150mm mark off each the brackets will be evenly spaced ??
all 47 in lengths.. its around a foot too long, i may get someone it to do it, its newly plastered or i would have just place the brackets in the old places and taken it from there, anyway thanks for you help il work it out eventually am sure
ahh ok my mistake had 4 lengths in my head
its only 3 you have 141" you are removing 12=129" first and last bracket 6"in so gives a span off 117" divided by three=39" so middle section 39" and each end 45" to give a total off 129 with all brackets evenly spaced
