Two coats. Do I paint ceiling twice before touching wall?

Got to paint ceiling white and walls blue, both 2 coats. Do I paint ceiling twice first before starting on walls or do I do 1 coat on ceiling then 1 coat on wall then 1 on ceiling?

Paint white on that stuff on corner between wall and ceiling?

Get the ceiling done and dusted and then cut into the ceiling with the blue paint for a nice straight line

There's filling on wall. How long before that goes hard and can be painted over?

Would be quicker to do wall straight after, wouldn't it as need to apply 2 coats

I tend to paint the ceiling and then allow the white paint on the cornice to stray on to the wall. I then cut the wall into the cornice- the primary reason being that old ceilings tend to be all over the place.

I find it easier to create straight lines once the ceiling has been painted. A decent 3"+ brush helps.

Need to get this done quickly though. If I paint onto wall from ceiling There won't be enough time for it to dry. I need to cracking on with walls quickly and it's 2 coats. What straight edge do u use to cut in with?

If u paint down onto wall. How long would you let it dry for before cutting in? 2 hrs?

by the time you've finished painting the ceiling, the side where you started will be dry. By the time you've had your tea break, it will all be dry.

Equally, by the time you've finished painting the walls, the wall you started on will be dry.

Paint the ceiling edges first and then by the time you've done the rest of the ceiling, the edges will already be dry.

Will paint the coving down onto wall first then do rest of ceiling, when it's dry cut in with blue wall paint. Then paint coving again painting down onto wall, do ceiling then bottom of wall finishing off cutting in along bottom of coving

opinions differ, but if you insist on starting the walls before you've finished the ceiling, you will get drips and plashes on the walls.

Also if you do the bottoms of the walls before the tops.
