Alright guys just bought one of these for my house tried to follow the manual, however it's poor lots of pictures and next to no explanation

I have the 2 sensors up that come with it, I can arm the alarm by pressing the tick bleeps for 30 secs then it's set. Walk I front of sensor alarm goes off

This is where the problem starts, the alarm key pad and bell box go off straight away, no short warning quiet alarm inside but both straight away, seems odd.

Then I have to press the shield with the line through it before either using fob to disarm or putting code in , now the shield is unresponsive it doesn't light up sometimes? So I can't disarm? If it does light up blue light comes on a fob disarms it, however the code doesn't work I put it in numbers light up and nothing when I press 4th number the lights go out and alarm carries on ?

So why is shield un-responsive and why doesn't code work is it the way I've set it up or not set it up or is the key pad faulty ?

I bought from E-spares and sensors were loose in box ??

They have been in the local ADI branch for must be over a year now ....don't think they have ever sold one ...!

Is that because they're so difficult to set up?

I'm a heating engineer by trade and have used loads of Honeywell wireless heating controls they have a good reputation and higher end of the market in that Field , so thought I'd go for it , regretting it now

The manual that comes with it says refer to on line instructions for well almost everything but there aren't any that I can find other than what I already have in a book

I have 4 more sensors to add on but don't see the point if I can't work out how to use the ****ing thing properly

No probably because they are rubbish....at a guess
What did you pay for it and what did you get ? As a Pyronix enforcer kit 3 with 4 pirs 1 contact wireless bell plus cover backplate is around the £220 plus vat

Most alarms are designed to work this way. Someone breaks in, goes past the sensor, and the alarm will go off straight away. But if you come in the front door, then the system assumes you are a legitamate user, and will give you time to disarm it. Not having used these alarms, I wonder if the system won't let you reset it, because you haven't opened the door, so it's assuming you're still the burglar.

Ah yes good point, problem is how does it know which sensor is covering the front door?

The main issue with this alarm for me is it's complete lack of info on install, set up and use extremely poor, Honeywells site is just as useless, it's ****ing me off now you get more info setting up one of their RF heating programmers this is just pathetic

Honeywell do have a good reputation. I assumed this range of alarm was the "Response Alarm" rebranded as they are now owned by honeywell. The respones alarm was a pile of junk, i fitted one for a friend and it got binned in the end. Speak with tech support

They don't tend to do tech support for the low end alarms I'm afraid. Do you have the manual for it Ollie, or can you find it online and post a link for me.

Ok update guys rang E Spares yesterday told them key pad seemed unresponsive and faulty they sent me complete new alarm out today so quite impressed with them.

So I've now set the alarm up with what comes in the box, 2 PIR's and 2 door/window sensors , code and fob all works to deactivate and the disarm button also now works properly and is actually quite straight forward once keypads buttons work

HOWEVER

I now have 4 PIR's to link on and I will also need to set zones to turn upstairs off at night both sets if instructions that come with alarm and individual PIR's advise to refer to online Manual, which I can't find ?.

When I try to open the manual on Honeywells site it just comes up "about blank" at top of screen and page stays blank

Hi guys. Just been reading through the thread and I have the same issue with the alarm not working properly. I’ve put all sensors and contacts in position but once system is set. The alarm keypad responds and activates but the siren doesn’t sound. Also the keypad beeps now and then for no reason when system isn’t armed. I also brought the product from espares and awaiting a response. Any ideas if anyone has any experience with this system? Thanks

I’m a year in with this piece of **** alarm send it back to e spares and get a decent one is my advice pal
