Our fence needs some updating, we bought the house last year and it's got wooden posts and open fence panels (Called Pailing panels I think). However it's obvious that they've been up since the house was built 30 years ago as they're rotten and some have supports at 45 degrees due to the wind we have to stop the fence falling.

The garden is surrounded by open fields so the wind is quite bad sometimes. We want to swap to concrete posts and get close board panels but were concerned the wind would be quite strong against a close panel as it can flow through the open ones at the moment.

Am I over thinking this? Will the fact we're going for concrete posts mitigate the wind problem?

Yep, it's what we have at the back of our very windy back garden.
