ive read a lot of contradictory info about hardie board.
Im building a shower enclosure out of studs and using Hardie Backer 12mm board on all the wet walls.
Can any kind soul tell me:
vapour barrier over top of studs to top of shower tray allowing any water to travel back into the shower tray (although if ive sealed that with silicone how would get out?
Hardie Board to the top of shower tray, behind the flange, or to within a few cm of the floor, behind the shower tray?
Tank the board using the Wapei kit from screwfix once it is taped and adhesive applied?
any particular tile adhesive and grout with fancy properties or just the big box store own brand stuff?
any shared knowledge is appreciated.
