Hand Sanitiser

Basic hygiene is the key. Wash hands before going out, wear disposable gloves while out, dispose of gloves before getting into car, clean hands with sanitiser if you so wish before getting into car, come home, wash hands.
We tend to load the boot of the car with any shopping before disposing of gloves, theoretically any germs are contained in the boot rather than being transmitted to the front of the car. Get home and open the doors then, with another pair of gloves on, one of us unloads the car whilst the other gives the shopping a quick wipe over with sanitising wipes before putting it away. After all is completed a thorough washing of hands.
If I was single, living on my own I probably wouldn't bother so much but as I have 2 disabled people living in the same home, and I have CKD in remission, I think it's worth taking the extra precautions.
My biggest bug bear are the idiots who stand within 1 metre of you while queueing and then breeze around the shops as though they are simply out on a jolly with not a care in the world and look at you with daggers if you dare to reproach them.

No, I just don't feel the need to spend half a week wandering around shops, like some sort of leisure activity (y)

Well, that's causing no harm, but it's overkill, unless your going out in a level A or B hazmat suit and following proper decontamination protocols then your always going to risk some exposure.

My biggest bugbears:

The rseholes who think that, providing they stay 2m from anyone, they're safe in the shops. Even if they spend an hour or more in there, fondling every last item in there. Usually with a mask on, albeit with their nose exposed......

(Usually) 60-something couples, who absolutely have to shop together. At the meat merchant today (small shop ; " 5 customers max." notice on doors), three such couples went in, one after the other...... Lackwits.....

Depends what you're doing.

If you go around touching anything and everything you encounter, fondle each tin of beans before selecting the one that's "just so", and use public transport, it might feel like a good idea (although is probably the least of your troubles).
mmmm individual beanfondling...

^^^^^ This is what I do and why I do it. I'm carer for a 90+ year old and live in a building where there are elderly, vulnerable and shielded folks.

Do you not know that Covid 19 is spread mainly by peoples breath and coughing, you are actually far far less likely to catch it through touching something as long as you follow basic hand washing routines y'all aint gonna get it.

I imagine you must have to be careful when visiting customers -do you find they are all respectful and keep out of you rway while you work.
