Hi I am looking to drop my alarm cables down behind plasterboard wall to where I will be fitting the control panel, so can I drop a power cable with them or if not how far apart ?

You don't want alarm cables running next to mains cables because A.C. can be induced from the mains cable into the alarm cables. It is usual to run the mains cable to one side of the panel, fit a fused connection unit at that point and then run the mains horizontally to the panel. Alarm cables at 90 degrees to mains cables don't usually cause problems.
Thanks so will keep them around 18” apart and drop them down to the panel and come in from opposite sides. Now I just need to pick a panel to see the entry points
