Can I run alarm cables beside power cables and how to

Hi all, after a few months of trying to make up my mind which type of system to go for I have made up my mind to go wired, now I am hoping to put the panel in a bedroom cupboard which I have power into, so can I drop the alarm cables down beside the main power cable and also is trunking a no-no ?

In general it’s better avoided if possible.

You can used screened cable, keep minimum distances, use filters etc etc

THeres the odd few posts on here about power cables and interference.
