One CCTV installer has told me that it would be alright to lay RJ59+2 cable for a CCTV system next to my alarm cables without interference.

The reason I asked this of him was that I live in a bungalow and the wiring has to all go through the loft. I have obviously managed to keep the alarm cables away from power cables but it will be near impossible to avoid laying the CCTV cable near to one or the other and I know that I have to avoid the power cable.

So does anyone agree or disagree with his advice.

I wouldn't have thought you'd have issues.

It's not really different to PTZ cable which I use. That has RG59, 24V DC, and serial data all in the same outer sheath.
