I know this question has been asked a few times, but I am planning where to run 8 core alarm cables and at a couple of points I will need to run parallel to 1mm^2 t&e for about 50cm. How much of a gap should I leave between the mains and alarm cables to avoid interference? I’ve heard in some places that running separate plastic cable trunking will do it, others that a 30cm gap will be fine and some people saying if it’s parallel for under 30cm it’ll be fine etc. Also considering installing spike suppressors just to be sure

i have some closer and no issues. no filters but measured them
Great stuff. So I’ll go ahead with that then, as long as my parralel runs are spaced apart and don’t last for more than a couple metres. Then I’ll test with a multimeter and fit spike suppressors if needed (and even if not I’ll throw one in there to be sure)

Thanks again for your help
