Unwanted zone and what to do with door sensor wiring

We have a Challenger 8 house alarm. We’ve just had the back door blocked up so no longer need this zone. I’ve opened the panel and created a link wire for that zone and the alarm works fine. My question now is can I just cut the wire at the sensor or do I have to create another link here? There seems to be 4 wires into the sensor.

link in the zone is fine for the alarm actiation.

the tamper however is probably part of a global tamper circuit so needs to be removed and the global tamper circuit reformed

The back door wiring will indeed go back to the panel as it was fully operational until the door was removed. The only thing I’ve done is remove the wires in the corresponding zone in the panel and insert a link wire.
I could just leave the sensor wired and tuck it up into the ceiling space but I don’t really want to do that.

Is that a DIY job?? I might just push the wires sensor into the ceiling void then if that’s accepted practice?

if you can put a link in the panel zone, you should be able to do the global tamper, just identify the cables (cores) and post a picture might be easier as Handymanjo suggested

Here is the wiring in the sensor

blue and black are you tamper wires and red and yellow your alarm wires.

as the zones are all labelled up, you should be able to put the link in the zone and remove the red and yellow wires from the zone.

So the back door was zone 5 and I’ve already removed the red and yellow wires and inserted a link wire. There’s also a link across zone 8 but that was never in use. Sorry if this is a stupid question but are they 4 core cables consisting of Red, Yellow, Blue and Black? If so do I need to trace the blue and black from the wires that were in zone 5 and disconnect them? Where will the tamper wires run to?

The blue and black wires in the choc block can also be removed for that device.

Sorry I don’t quite get that. What are the numbers in brackets on your post or are they meant to be uploaded images.
So do I trace the blue and black wires that were in zone 5 to the choc block and then just disconnect them and that’s it all done?
