Cracked wall, damaged blockwork (pictures included)

Can anyone explain what may have caused this please?

The pictures speak for themselves as to the extent of the damage. The door lining is still fine and the door closes okay. It appears the blocks have got a split through most of them, if the ply wasn't screwed to the wall the blocks could literally be lifted out.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

How old is that wall, and when did it start cracking?
Did you have a loft conversion done?

The property is about 30 years old, there is an upstairs but is original I believe, not added.

Could be lots of reasons.
Damp, ageing process, door slamming all the time for many years, not enough support at base of the wall, etc.

the worst damage seems to be about shoulder height. Stand next to it and go through the motions of barging the door with your shoulder. Does the damage fit?

Is the lower damage at kick height?

Who has access to the building?

Not convinced the wood could survive better than the blocks in a forced entry. Looks like the blocks are crumbling. Bad blocks, in which case the house will collapse, or excessive weight from above.

After reading the comments above, and, as there is no cracking above the top of the door frame, and the crack seems to start at the bottom of the door frame and end at the top of the door frame indicating a force from around the middle/shoulder height as mentioned above. That's what I'm thinking.
