Granny Annexe

To have a Granny Annexe / office at the end of a garden; what sort of permission do we need.
There sewage that could be tapped into and running a water supply would be relatively easy.

Does it put value on the house?

Full planning and BR. Unless (and I am sure you aren't:D) you are one of those who pretend it's a summer house/garden room but accidentally installed a bedroom bathroom and kitchen.

You don't need full PP. It's within PD rights unless you're building a huge structure.

You can also have a kitchen and bathroom within it as long as it's incidental / ancillary use to the main house. You will only need PP if you're going to rent it out.

There was a major issue in West London a few years back with everyone popping up these structures and charging £700+ in monthly rent!

No, you can’t put granny in the shed.

If it's at the end of the garden is it still an annexe??
