New boiler fitted but All radiators go cold after a couple of hours??

So is the room temperature the temperature in which once reached the radiators will turn off ?
Yes .you set the target temperature that you want ,and once reached ,the thermostat sends a signal to the reciever to turn the boiler off.

According to instructions. The small 20.0 in the bottom right is the set point.
The large 17.0 in the centre is the current room temperature.
I can't believe there isn't a simple on/ off button and up/ down buttons.

I’m just gonna put it in the coldest room which we don’t use and hopefully the heating stays on longer

That’s the idea, they used to be located in hallways (generally coldest part of the house), now they seem to be wherever with all these “smart” thermostats.

Believe it.....told ya it was complicated :LOL:

I'm pretty sure my Honeywell is complicated when you get into the programming. But at least I have an on/ off button and up/ down buttons. I don't need to go any further than that, and have never had any need to look at the instructions.

I'm assuming turning the dial never did anything on our 'learning to be s*it' thermostat?

I wonder if it is programmed already?
The installer could have done anything!

Surely if it's set at 20° and it's getting no higher than 17° it's because either the TRV in that room is shutting off before the temperature is reached? Try turning the boiler up to max too.

what bit do you need to figure out on how to turn up the thermostat?

Yes, he quickly gave up trying to turn it up.
Instructions for it are pretty bad admittedly.
I assume the dial has something to do with it, but you know what they say about assumptions!!

I figured it out in the end and managed to turn it up from 20 to 25 Thanks for all your help. I’m glad it wasn’t anything major
