Navalny apparently had a history of making anti muslim statements.
He compared them to rotten teeth and cockroaches.
It seems he has never apologised for this.

Maybe i just like playing devils advocate.
The problem is that their just isn't any balance in the western media when it comes to issues like Russia and the Middle East.
In that respect its no different from Russia, i don't know whether Navalny was a good guy or a bad guy, but the media and the vested interests seem to want elevate him to the status of some sort of Russian Nelson Mandala, despite his past history of inciting hatred against Muslims.

It doesn't matter if you're a total Nazi or a fraudster, if you're useful in regime change you're a hero. That will be the narrative sold to the western sheep. And the virtue signallers will lap it up. Real empathy is irrelevant. As long as you look like you care, that's all that matters.

Remember Washington hailed Ahmed Chalabi as the rightful leader of Iraq, while he was on warrant by Jordan for bank fraud. They also supported the likes of Osama Bin Laden to murder Afghans and Soviets because they saw it as point scoring for their empire. Since supported Al Qaeda in Libya and Syria. Yet clowns like Notch7 will tell you they are the good guys. That the Dick Cheneys, the Donald Rumsfelds, the Richard Perles are crying every night because they want people to be free.
