The brother and I have similar setups, same boilers and ufh.

His boiler is 2021 whereas mine is 2023 if that makes any difference (identical make and model)

My boiler flow is set to 62 and at mixer to 45, when system is running the boiler flow displays 62 and mixer displays 45.

His boiler is set to 65 however when his ufh is calling for heat, his boiler flow shows 45 and same on the mixer display.

He’s always complained about his heating bill and I’m dreading looking at mine and just wondered if mine is incorrectly set and about to receive a shock on my bill?

My supplier won’t install a smart meter due to previous owners so I can’t keep on top of my usage until I receive the bills.

Would be grateful for the advice.
Thanks

They had an electric smart meter installed and as it’s smets1, the smart gas meter would not be compatible nor are they willing to change my electric to smet2 so that gas meter can be installed.

Unless you live in identical houses next door to each other with the same levels of insulation, solar gain etc etc and you use your houses in the same way, there are too many variables to consider. It sounds like you both have the boiler temp set so that the boilers will be condensing some/most of the time, so its likely that they are operating towards the upper end of their efficiency range. Do you and your brother compete on everything?

Pretty much!

If you want to improve efficiency you might want to look at flow and return temps.

The lower they are the more efficient the boiler, there is a relationship between heat loss from each room, the size of the radiator and the flow temp. Ideally it’s best to avoid or minimise radiator zoning as it increases cycling.

Do you have weather compensation / load compensation?

If you can say what boiler model it is, that would be helpful for the professionals on here who might be able to advice on improving efficiency (I’m just an idiot DIYer with an interest)

There's nothing to stop you reading your meters, daily if you can be bothered. Then use your tariff to calculate the cost. Easiest way is to set up a spreadsheet, if you're into that sort of thing.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing so far but meter placement makes it difficult.
