Replacing leaking isolation valve for a stop end?

What is it connected to? Is it a drain or test point for an unvented?
If so, all you would need to do really is replace it and then cap that (which is what it should be anyway)

Always handy to have a means of draining. Replace with lever valve and cap the end of that.
