Bending plastic conduit

yep, you were right, it did

but I made a reasonable job just heating with hot air gun then gently forming it with my hands

Jesus …a 20 mm spring and half decent conduit ….not cheap rubbish have bent thousands of this stuff with no other extras…
 
Strange - i all my time, and I have used this white conduit quite a few times, I have never considered bending it, and even without a spring it is do-able - it seems very happy to change shape with little heat

thanks all for my new trick

think I will get a spring and have it in the bag should I ever need to bend some conduit
 
Most plastic conduit will bend without applying any heat, just drop spring in bend it round the knee, JD

However applying heat with a coarse cloth such as: towel, old fashioned dishcloth (my preference), hessian sacking are ideal by rubbing a small area means the conduit will bend a little easier, leaving the cold parts firmer and straight and a tighter/shorter bend.

Use the right size spring for heavy or light duty conduit too.
