I think the funniest one I've read here was a guy, that removed one of his rafters for a very small velux, think sometime in 2014 and despite the roof being very clearly overengineered to a point of being ridiculous with the adjoining rafter/beams being the size of my leg, he was told they absolutely need to double and triple them because it will blow off any minute. The Velux is absolutely fine.(...)
This obviously aint a typical "conversion" and I'm aware that normally everyone that looks at these trusses immediately thinks the whole house will collapse the moment you swing a hammer and nail at them

It's discouraging that people don't read full thing before making their conclusions but just to reiterate, I won't be cutting any webs and didn't plan to, without providing a separate support for them first, signed by SE and only if I can find one.
