Just got back in. We are calling it a night as we are both pretty much half cut as been drinking all day and night and we are up early at a spin class,

What point??but I see your point.

I dunnoWhat point??

Actually your right if talking about Cunard cruises. We went on a Cunard and let’s say never again!!! It is formal evening dress with no exceptions either them. Now they are snobby. So Cunard cruises yes definitely but not Princess cruises or any others. Everyone is out for a good time and nobody gives a toss who has what. If you can afford a suite then I whole heartedly recommend one. 5 star service all the way Yes but snobbery NoI get the impression that when you sit down in the bar or to see a show and you are sharing a tale with someone that the conversation soon turns to what room you are in.
We've been on about 10 cruises in total - our first one was when we came home after working in South Africa in 1982. A three week cruise which was cheaper than a one-way airfare. We went from Durban to Piraeus stopping off at the Seychelles and Israel. Pretty sure we were below the waterline with twin fold-down single beds and a doorway you had to step over, a bit like a submarine! Ship only held 700 passengers, so quite small compared to today’s ships. We had a window cabin once, very claustrophobic I thought but we will absolutely not go on one without a balcony nowdays. We do like a balcony though - it’s great to sit out on and watch the world go by.I've been on two cruises, first time I had an inside cabin, I actually really liked it, nice and dark for a good night's sleep.
Second time we had a balcony we didn't really make good use of it as we were always out.....nice to have a sit outside just before bed I suppose but it didnt bother me.
And all the othe passengers dont know what cabin you've got![]()
It certainly does happen if you are seated on a table for your evening meals. Unless we are travelling with friends, we always choose freedom dining and wait for a table for two.I get the impression that when you sit down in the bar or to see a show and you are sharing a tale with someone that the conversation soon turns to what room you are in.
Haven’t you got a mirror in your suite then?God knows what you have been watching on TV. A cruise is nothing like that. Sure there are some snobs but not many. Ours has 3 thousand passengers onboard and not seen a snob yet.
I'm the opposite, I like sharing tables with strangers, it gives the wife someone to converse with and leaves me to enjoy my holidayIt certainly does happen if you are seated on a table for your evening meals. You have just spent 50 pages literally reminding us what room you are in.No not at all. Why would the conversation go to what room you are in.

A bit of tongue in cheek. Don’t read it if you don’t want to. It is more light hearted for people with a sense of humour. You have just spent 50 pages literally reminding us what room you are in.
