I was out yesterday to a 2 way lights problem, customer had taken pics before he started (Good man).
Single &E for L & SL and 3C without E. He added a metal intermediate to this by cutting and rerouting the 3C, adding some new 3C&E and a Wago box.
This is how I found it but in the meantime he had tried all sorts of other arrangements as adding the intermediate didn't provide the function he expected.
He even showed me printouts of the various systems he found on line including the craps AI had concocted that he had tried to achieve, this was still on his ipad:

Switch 1 (3-Way)
|---COM (Common) ----------------- (Black to Light)

(Red) (Traveler 1)

| Switch 2 (4-Way)

| Switch 3 (3-Way)
|----COM (Common) ------------------ (Light)

(Black wire to Light)

Light
Very simple solution
It hadn't occurred to me to post it, but the concurrent thread...
