More domestic 2 way

I was out yesterday to a 2 way lights problem, customer had taken pics before he started (Good man).

Single &E for L & SL and 3C without E. He added a metal intermediate to this by cutting and rerouting the 3C, adding some new 3C&E and a Wago box.

This is how I found it but in the meantime he had tried all sorts of other arrangements as adding the intermediate didn't provide the function he expected.

He even showed me printouts of the various systems he found on line including the craps AI had concocted that he had tried to achieve, this was still on his ipad:

It hadn't occurred to me to post it, but the concurrent thread...
 
Absolutely no advantage in the way it was originally wired (2 way only) though, just one of the many alternative methods I suppose.
 
We'll have to draw out every conceivable 2 way method - I think I came up with 12, decades ago.
 
3 core from rose to switch twice, anyone used that method?
 
It’s been mentioned before on here.

Don’t know what advantage is of taking 2 3+e to the rose?
