I think the jew element has a lot to do with it, many protesting i guess are doing so simply regarding the very existence of the jewish race - I doubt they care any more about the gazinians than they do about the Sudanese, or what happened in Yemen Syria etc we have seen a lot of hatred towards the jewish people that should never have been allowed on our streets.
However, playing devils advocate for a moment, we do hold the Israeli's in very high regard, we think of them as having western values, of holding values similar to that of our own. And there certainly has been times this last year or so when they have undoubtedly went too far, they have behaved no better than those who we would criticise.
I have very much been on Israel's side since that horrible attack by hamas - but they have went too far and they are slowly loosing my support. (won't be buying a hamas/ palistine flag anytime soon though)

Israel is meant to be a modern Western society like us.
A society that has decent values, but it doesn’t it’s been committing the most heinous atrocities in Gaza.

the reason people criticise Israel is because as a state they are acting like disgusting brutal savages committing atrocities on poor and weak Palestinians
