Perhaps remove the draw front completely (as suggested by @foxhole ). Most of the time you need to insert a flat head screwdriver into a slot to release the mechanism (read: release the drawer front).
I am only guessing, but I suspect that if you wind the nylon screw plug in the part connected to the drawer front, it will enable the drawer front component to engage properly. They enable the drawer front to move left and right. If the screw is projecting too much, it can stop the drawer front fitting engaging properly.
It will be difficult to screw into the drawer runner side though. You might, possibly, want to use self tapping screws to cut into the thin metal walls.
Sorted it this morning with the smallest angled bracket I could find at screwfix screwed into the drawer front and the bottom part which was also wood. Its good enough lol. Just need to grind off the bracket slightly as its protruding and scraping the drawer below.
