What do you mean you have the zone set as final exit? Do you mean the door contact?

Timed should be working fine. Are you sure they are setting Area B?

Try changing it to final exit / timed just to see if it works then?

Presumably for Area B exit you have a timer setup?

Make sure input area is set to 'any' for all zones, level set on, and b exit to timed

Yes I am referring to the door contact.
I have this set to Final Exit on Input Type across areas A & B. When I set the alarm in area A everything sets when the front door is opened and closed which is great. However it does this for when I want to set Areas B (when customer wants to part arm for bed time) I have Exit Mode B set to Timed yet even with this selected it will not set unless I open and close the front door. I have timer set up on areas B for 20 seconds to allow customer to walk and down the stairs all other detectors are programmed to intruder apart from a PIR that is situated in the hallway above the keypad which is programmed to Area FX Entry. I have this same programming at home and everything works fine. I must be missing something but I cannot see the wood for the trees here!

Do you mean on the Door Contact input?

You must have altered something else somewhere. If you’re referring to them as a customer hopefully you’ve got a few panels, experience etc. Save yourself some hassle and just clean start the panel.
