I'm buying a leasehold flat which is in the top floor of a 30s block in london, it is a masnard style roof and i want to know how much of a likely issue this is going forward. Is this style of roof a problem waiting to happen?

There is no evidence of any leaks in the flat itself, however you can see the opportunity for pooling of water in the pic. This seems like a ridiculous design for a roof, but then i've always had freehold houses with sloped roofs. Maybe its more common.

Here is a pic, which i took from a selfie stick out of the living room window. The void /roof space is only about 1 foot wide, so insulation opportunity will be quite difficult.

It's not an issue at all.

Your advisor needs to check what replacement works are planned for the near future and your liabilities for costs
