I have had the above nailer for about 2 years, using it to pin mdf scotia beading onto skirting boards for laminate floors. When I was using it yesterday it suddenly stop firing the 15mm brad nails that I always use. I have checked for jammed nails, changed the fuse, etc, but it's not firing. Any ideas on what is wrong and if it is repairable? If is is not cost effective to repair, I shall purchase a new one.
Thanks

Carefully open it up and check that the slidy bit you need to put pressure on has not misaligned itself. If it has then it won't trigger the microswitch and it will not fire even though it springs in and out correctly. I had this happen to me and it was just a case of resetting the position and it was as good as new.

I had same type sympton on a Tacwise ELS Pro 400.
Im an electronics eng.
Root cause was EM78P153S 14 pin electrically 1 time only programmable chip IC had a hole blown in its middle. This on the circuit board. The SCR tested ok. This issue is not repairable as the IC must be programmed by the pcb manufacturer

Why resurrect a 13year old post?

Work colleague only occasionally uses the nail gun. I couldn't find any post on the internet where someone trying to fix this range of Tacwise tools found the root cause for this symptom. So I posted my findings for anyone else who might be trying to troubleshoot same issue.
