OMG Newcastle.

Was wild in the 80s too.

Went there recently with Mrs S and me Ma as part of a whistle stop tour of the NE.

Went to Alnwick, Cragside House, Rothbury, Seahouses, Durham, Newcastle, and dropped off to see the Angel of the North.
We stayed just north of Alnwick in August.

Did you know Harry Hotspur was the inspiration behind Tottenham being called Hotspurs?

I like the North East. Mrs Bods mum was born in South Sheilds.

I would consider a move up there.

What you all going on about, I went to Newcastle-under-Lyme last night it was bloody boring
You will find that having just the one tooth and a few long strands of hair on your head would make most places seem boring.

This is going to sound terrible, but on our way back we stopped off at the Angel of the North to see it up close, I walked up that embankment towards it and threw up.
Did you throw up on a dog and think,

"I don't remember eating that...!" ??

Newcastle is named after the "new" castle that was built there in 1080 by Billy the Conq's eldest son.

It's high time they renamed the place Oldcastle. Or built another castle and renamed it Newnewcastle.
