It does have an impressive lumen per watt, and looks as if it lights in nearly all directions, but
as one looks at the pictures
it has the same problem as many LED bulbs, it does not put out any light towards the base. They do make a clear version

And will light a ceiling just like an incandescent. That why they are marked 330 deg
