They touched on this on QT, the Greens co leader or whatever she is was on the panel. When discussing immigration, she was pushed on the Green's policy of (ultimately) supporting open borders. She was asked how the country would cope, infrastructure, services, socioeconomically etc.

She waffled in her reply.

The only deterrent we have, at the moment, is the channel. Without it, we would be flooded even more with them. To stop them, 'all' we need to do, is effectively prevent them risking their lives, on small boats.

Strangely enough there used to be a thing called the Dublin Agreement that also applied to the UK...

Those moaning the loudest about migrants voted to cancel that agreement!

We are very much dependent on France when it comes to this. How about if France agreed to completely stop the boats in return for us accepting a set number of pre-screened refugees.

It's a mixed bag. We also give lots of work visas to doctors, engineers and IT professionals from these countries.

You agree EU immigrants boosted the economy, but since the removal of freedom of movement more immigrants have come from outside the EU whom you say don't make a positive contribution?

But that's what brexiteers voted for!

Oh and by the way, as far as the EU are concerned the UK is currently a 'third country'!

Funny story....well you probably had to be there, there was a chap called Bazza-spark he had the same avatar but his was yellow, I used a red one to wind him up a bit, but then he left so I just kept it.

Nothing in it really it's just a helicopter to me.
