“Christ is king”

If you look into a bit, it’s clear it’s also used in an antisemitic way too.

Odds knows what he’s doing
Have you read it yet?
If you have, then you can easily copy and paste any excerpt that yuopu think is anti-Semitic.
If you can't. it proves that either it's not anti-Semitic, or you've not read it. My guess is that both are proven.

This has been going on since early this morning, you are trolling people and ruining threads with your allegations and trolling.
Reported
You've reported posts that you disagree with, rather than engaging in intelligent discussion?
That is a) exploiting the fact that mods are too busy to verify your reported posts deserve to be deleted, b) indicates your vexatious and vindictive behaviour, and c) suggests you don't have the intellectual capacity for intelligent discussion.

You do enjoy speaking for the forum.
All our posts are posted in the forum, for the forum to read them. It's up to individuals to decide if they want to read them , or get involved in the discussion. I don't speak for the forum, I speak to the forum.
I have no authority, nor any mechanism to speak for the forum. And clearly I don't speak for you, nor HWM, nor Blup, nor MNW67, nor morqthana, nor Odds, so your post is evidently not true.

Billy isn’t as smart as odds. Odds knows exactly what’s happening
You clearly don't because you claim that there has been anti-Semitic comments posted in the forum, but you're unable to repost them because you claim they've been deleted.
Yet when you report another of Odds posts because it offends you, you're unable to explain why it offends you, and you're unable to post any excerpt from those posts that you find offensive.
It was your perfect opportunity to prove your claim, yet you refuse to take it.

Don't you think that's very bizarre?

Perhaps HWM or MBK can explain why they reported it:
Done (y)…Again.
Reported, @Odds will you ever learn?
Reported.
You never learn. Anyone else would get a ban for the rubbish you post.
Although HWM has no idea why he reported it, because he openly admits he only reported it because Odds posted it.
That's even more bizarre.
You only have to look who the messenger is.
It would seem that you reported it because you thought it was rubbish. In which case all your posts, claims, accusations and lies should be reported.

I hope this doesn't upset the snowflakes:

4. Some extremist anti-Zionist spaces

In some online spaces strongly opposed to the state of Israel, the phrase occasionally appears alongside antisemitic stereotypes. These users sometimes claim they are only criticizing Zionism, but critics argue that the rhetoric sometimes crosses into hostility toward Jewish people generally.

There’s where @Odds head is
You've quoted this before, yesterday, (see below), but you refused to say where you sourced it from, despite being asked.
Until you do, it's just something that you made up, and nothing to do with Odds. It's from your head, not his.

Hmmmmm, that sounds familiar……

If you say so

Well, this forum is to discuss & debate non-DIY topics - it says so here:

View attachment 409658

So within the context of the rules: https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/forum-rules-general-info.19448/

it's quite reasonable to ask you what you thought was/were the rule(s) which Odds transgressed by posting the topic for debate.

Same applies to motorbiking and Highway Man.
Dec2¼ can't explain why he reported Odds' post, becasue he didn't even read it.
MBK knee jerk reaction was to also report it, and later admitted it wasn't anti-Semitic per se, but claimed that Odds is anti-Semitic which justified MBK reporting it.
HWM also admitted reporting it for the simple reason Odds posted it.
I do hope that the Mods are taking note of Dec2¼, MBK and HWM exploiting the workload of the Mods by reporting posts from people they disagree with, in the knowledge that Mods have admitted that they are too busy to verify if reported posts deserve any action, so they just delete them.

It also illustrates how some posters report posts that they don't like based on some flimsy excuse that someone else had reported it. And they have no idea if the post contravenes any rules because they hadn't read it.

No wonder such posters support such extreme governments as authoritarianism.

I hope the forum takes note of their disgusting methods used by some posters, of shutting down any posts they dislike.

1. Political figures posting it on social media

Some conservative politicians and activists posted “Christ is King” on social media during political debates. Critics said the posts sometimes appeared right after arguments about Jewish groups or Israel, which made people question the intent.

Supporters said they were just expressing Christian faith, while critics argued it could function as a dog whistle in certain contexts.

2. The Candace Owens controversy

In 2024, commentator Candace Owens repeatedly posted “Christ is King” online during disputes involving Jewish commentators and debates about Israel.

Some critics said she was using the phrase to antagonize Jewish critics, while she insisted she was simply affirming her Christianity.

The dispute became big enough that it spilled into arguments with conservative media figures at The Daily Wire.

3. Online meme campaigns

Around the same period, researchers from the Network Contagion Research Institute linked spikes in the phrase to coordinated online meme activity where users spammed “Christ is King” under posts by Jewish public figures.

The researchers said some posts included antisemitic imagery or conspiracies, which is why they flagged it.

4. The divide inside the political right

The issue also highlighted a split among conservatives:

  • Some pro-Israel conservatives argued the phrase was being weaponized by fringe antisemitic groups.
  • Others argued the criticism was an attempt to police Christian speech.

Talking to your other user name is beyond pathetic!!

Jog on you plum

You really are a silly one eyed fella sometimes.

For a long time, I have avoided reading any of the yawn threads about Israel, anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism because I find both sides of that argument tedious, unwinnable and never ending. But this thread seemed to be about Christianity, so I had a look. I found it was an interesting but anodyne article which, amongst things, warned about the resurgence of anti-Semitism on the far right and the Christian right in the USA. I was then bemused to find that an article warning about the resurgence of anti-Semitism had been reported by so many posters. All I have been asking is why it was reported. Surely, articles warning about the resurgence of anti-Semitism should be encouraged.

The article wasn't in Al Jazeera. It wasn't even in the Guardian or on the BBC. It was in the religious affairs section of the Associated Press. It wasn't in any way controversial. The only criticism I would have is that it was rather staid and fact heavy.

Instead of insulting me, it would be much more productive if you, or anyone else who has an issue with the article, could actually explain which bit or bits they found offensive.
Filly answered this in his earlier post. Maybe read it again?
