Now for one of my all-time favouritest groups of all time ever, The Damned...

Don’t know their music well, but saw them live and they played this. Half way through the lead singer pointed to some bloke at the front, and shouted kill him he’s a commie. At which point 3 or 4 blokes proceeded to properly lay into him. He was rescued when Captain Sensible stopped mid song and with an alarmed expression jumped into the crowd and pulled him onto the stage. It taught me how powerful people can get their followers to do almost anything…..

Two years ago I was in our local electrical store which in recent years has dramatically improved it's hi fi section, I bought a record deck there, my first in a long time, I tend to pop in now and again just for a browse but as I was saying I played with a few cd players and after switching one on, this track played, never heard it before, absolutely blew me away.

I love the fact that The Eagles toured the UK supporting Jethro Tull, just before the tour they had a hit with 'Take it Easy'. Anyway, sometime later they wrote 'Hotel California' which some say is a direct rip off of a Tull song. Ian Anderson jokes about it but says there's a few similar chord progressions but that's always going to happen, it's just maths. Anyway, this is the song:
