Hi , I had to turn the old stopcock under our bathroom sink to turn off the water , By doing that it seems to have created a small leak , I had a look online and it seems loosening a gland nut and putting ptfe tape on would fix the leak
Typically mine doesn’t seem to have a gland and it’s some sort or circular nut or something , That’s where the drip is coming from , I’ve added a pic for any help gratefully recieved. Thanks

You can still do it, just yours is round as opposed to the hexagonal types. Be careful, use water pump pliers or similar to back it off. Maybe clean the brass on the spindle using a cleaning strip.

Yep, that's the nut.

I'd spray it with foamy type limescale remover a couple of times and let it soak - it gets into the gaps.

SOme silicone grease woul be good to hep prevent it sticking again.. If there's a tiny drip don't worry, they always stop after a couple of days. !
