Makerfield doubts

The result didn't go the way the OP wanted so they're calling foul play. One of the tactics out of the Trump play book, if it doesn't align with what you wanted, call it a fix and/or fake news.

Nice try, but no.

I have been very clear that I supported Restore running into this. It was also abundantly clear that, despite Restore climbing rapidly, Reform not standing aside meant there was no prospect of Restore winning. That has never been in doubt. There's no sore loserdom about a prize that was clearly never winnable.

No, I am just looking at the facts as a third party observer, with the benefit of knowing that my horse wasn't in this race so I can be objective, unlike some.

I don't think I saw any actual polling for Makerfield. Just on-street discussions with random people.

The bookies all seemed to agree that Burnham would win, easily.

So I'm not sure if anything was amiss.

Can you keep us up to speed please. So far your posts about Labour have been priceless.
Do you really think that this is a great comeback for Labour?

It was a freak event, created by the bizarre situation where voting for the ruling party will remove the hated current PM.

All this means nowt, Nigel will be PM some day soon....mark my words.
