I use the Lastpass app to manage my passwords and have given my wife the master password. The lastpass app suggests strong passwords and you don't have to remember them as its an addon for internet browsers to it autofills the passwords for you.
Use the same password for everything with the mix of cases, special characters and password length that some sites require. It’s a pain though, but covers every eventuality. With Face ID and passcodes increasingly required by websites is a password meaningful any longer. I suspect the additional security levels have arisen from fake fraud.
New security measures have indubitably arisen due to the record number of scams - last year alone saw victims in Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire lose £50mn through scammers online.

You’re using same password for all sites?
No but would if I started over. Who steals a password other than family or consenting fraudsters. Who even knows shat websites you use. Plus verification is now widespread.

Fraudsters are able to get hold of user name and password information from databases hacked from websites with the data sold on the dark web. As so many people use the same password over multiple sites, they'll then use bots to try that username/password combo in all sorts of places to see where it works.
I find it so much easier to use a password manager app that can also do passkey verification than try to remember loads of different passwords that the websites are making ever increasingly difficult.
Pretty sure my data has been hacked but all I get is random emails. Plus even screw fix wants a passcode. I suspect a lot of the hacking is actually consumer fraud
But then the password manager gets hacked, in the same way vpn’s are based in Czeck land and accessible by Pootin.
