Dear Sirs,
Please could you advise how best to prepare and paint existing wood kitchen cabinets.......we are building a new kitchen and wish to use our existing cabinets to keep cost down,
Thanks,
Ben

We did something similar instead of replacing all the cabinets. The biggest difference came from taking the doors off, giving everything a good clean (especially to remove grease), sanding lightly, using a quality bonding primer, and then applying 2–3 thin coats of cabinet paint. It takes a bit of time, but it's much cheaper than buying new cabinets. Before choosing a color, I also tested a few different cabinet styles and finishes with the Captivating Cabinets AI Kitchen Visualizer. It helped us avoid picking a color we later regretted. Good luck with the new kitchen!
